We've both been feeling like we're getting a little too fluffy for
comfort, so we decided to challenge each other. We're competitive people
- helping a friend close his restaurant once turned into a
silverware-rolling competition - so we thought, what better way to lose
weight than to make it a competition? The idea is to chart our weight
(and, hopefully, our weight loss) each week to see who can lose
weight faster, and hopefully that will motivate us to pull it together.
Because it seems like everyone is having this problem these days, Uncle
Jack asked if he could be a part of the Challenge also.

will note that when it came time for the first weigh-in, after weighing
myself the first time, I tried to take off more clothes before weighing
myself again to see if I could get the number down. Instead, somehow, I
gained a pound
